I had a room downstairs in our house that had a pool table in it and I had played one game in as many years so the pool table (despite the coolness factor) had to go.  

The room was painted the eggshell off-white the rest of the house was finished with at the end of construction in 1990 so it really was a boring room.  The kids used it for a play room exclusively until October of 2000 when I saw a front projection tv screen at a Home Theatre store in Orange County.  That was the end of that boring room...

With the help of a few of the theatre discussion boards on the internet I was able over the span of four months to build what you can see in the pictures on the links to the left.
